A Few Thoughts From William
William here.
Thanks to my favorite author for her gracious introduction in the previous post. I can’t argue with her observations. Frankly, it would be futile because the reality is that she created me. Yet, there may some things that she doesn’t know, and I most certainly can offer some insights.
First, this insidious title “life facilitator.” She has no idea how much it disturbs me. Yet even I — one who truly enjoys solving problems in a creative fashion — can’t seem to come up with a better one. Perhaps our readers could think about this situation and offer ideas. We both would be most appreciative.
Second, I don’t mean to be secretive about my efforts; truly I don’t. To quote a fine human, “Forest Gump,” I guess that’s all I have to say about that.
Third, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention a few items about my author. It is absolutely true that she took her sweet time creating me and would only observe that much like wine, things improve over time. She remains quite surprised with the enormous interest of who I represent in her life. Her father? Her husband? A boss? the answer is none of the above. I can attest to the fact that I am my unique self; perhaps that is why it took a decade for me to emerge.
And while she lives a very busy life like so many, she never gave up on her lifelong goal of writing a novel and remained strong through the ups and downs of telling the stories of Debra, Sam and Emma. I am very pleased to report that she had an epiphany over the summer, and began a second book, entitled “William Bell: The Tale of Three Sallies.” She has no idea what fun we will have in crafting my next set of adventures.
Until next time,
William.
